Gamblr was my mother's first show dog, and her first AKC Champion. She owner-handled him from the beginning to the end, despite offers from professional handlers who wanted to show him. She believed in Gamblr's ability as a show dog, and she was determined that he would win because he was a beautiful dog, and not because he had a well-known handler.

After obtaining his Championship, my mom specialed him off and on for a few years, earning Best of Breed in most of his shows, including BOB at a regional specialty show. He also picked up some Group Placements along the way. At most of the shows he did not get BOB at, he went Best of Opposite to a very nice bitch that was being campaigned at the time. |

Gamblr was ranked in the Top 20 Samoyeds in the country 3 years in a row with limited showing -- all owner-handled by a novice.
While Mom and Gamblr were out doing their thing, I was there in the background with my Sheltie, Cass, learning everything she learned, and admiring every accomplishment they made together.
